Son in his mid-twenties, from the second generation of wealth.
He was struggling to find a role within the family and was also having issues carving out his own career.
We met with the son, and it was clear that he required both a mentor and a coach. In our work with families, we often adopt the role of mentor, but when it comes to emotional and mental health support we know to call on the right specialists.
The coach worked with the son on his emotional well-being and carving out a sense of purpose whilst the family office involved him in various projects. This helped to build his knowledge of and gain insight into the family wealth. It also provided him with a more realistic glimpse of a future where he would take responsibility and lead the family in turn.
Now a few years later, the son is much more settled, has a significantly better relationship with his family, and has become a valued member of the team for all family projects.
